Tiny Treasures Preschool February 2010 Newsletter HELLO EVERYONE!  We survived a very rainy month of January!!  The kids have been very good about playing indoors so much!!  We want to remind all of the parents to please bring your child with a jacket.  We have a great play yard that doesn't pile up with water so...when the rain stops even for a moment we go outside, dry off the slides and run, run, run!!! SNACK TIME!! We will be preparing snack each day at 10:15am . We will be giving each parent an item to bring each month. Such as: a bag of apples, oranges, crackers, ect. We are really relying on you to bring this is as soon as possible each month. We will then prepare each snack daily at 10am and 3pm. Because of these harsh economic times, we are now forced to keep track of everyone who brings in snack and everyone who does not. We will now be charging a $10 per month snack fee if you do not bring in your child’s snack for the month. But...this is good for the busy parent who doesn't have time to bring in snack because you can now just give Ms. Janelle your $10 and she will happily go buy snack for you. We have a wonderful healthy snack program to help teach children good nutrition habits. Thank you for your support. CIRCLE TIME We will be having our circle time at 9:00am sharp each morning. During this time we will be doing name recognition, calendar time, birthdays, character building, and “the what’s happening today”. If you get your child to school late each morning they will really miss out. So please do your best to get them to school by 9:00am BREAKFAST!! Tiny Treasures teachers will prepare breakfast for your child only if the parent provides a simple breakfast and only if it is before 8:00am. Please do not bring in your child after 8:30am without feeding them breakfast first. And we will no longer allow any child to eat after 8:30am, until morning snack time between 9:30am and 10am. Thank You so much for your cooperation. Ms. Kela!! As all of you know Ms Kela will be having her baby girl very soon.  She will be leaving us around the last week of February.  We will not be hiring a new teacher to replace her just yet, because we have Ms. Dana with us who has been filling in for Ms. Kimberly.  Ms. Dana will move to Ms. Kela's room as soon as Ms. Kimberly returns.  I am not sure how the timing of all this will work out, but if we need to Ms. Janelle will cover the class.  She love to be in the classroom!! VALENTINE'S DAY!! We will be handing out classroom name lists for your child's valentines. Please feel free to bring only for your child's class or add kids that your child would like.  Maybe kids they play with in the afternoon that are not in their class.  The teachers will make sure they get to the right child by the end of the day!!  Please check the sign up sheet outside your child's classroom to sign up for something to bring for our party.
